Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking an engineer for energy systems and power plant C&I projects in Malaysia. You will conduct site troubleshooting, loop checks, and commissioning activities; support startup and performance verification.

Lead outages and overhauls, prepare technical reports, and coordinate site advisors; provide input for control system upgrades, RFPs, and tender proposals. This role requires readiness for short-term site assignments.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' hands-on experience in power plant C&I engineering, commissioning, or field maintenance.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, protection systems, and turbine control interfaces.
• Willing and able to deploy for short-term site assignments locally and internationally (2–3 months).

Responsibilities

• Engineering & Field Execution: Conduct site troubleshooting, loop checks, logic verification, signal tracing, system testing, and commissioning activities. Support plant startup and operational performance verification.
• Outage & Project Leadership: Lead technical execution during plant outages and overhauls, prepare technical/service reports, and coordinate site technical advisors.
• Technical & Sales Support: Assist with customer technical issues, root cause analysis (RCA), and technical input for control system upgrades, RFPs, and tender proposals.
• Procurement Support: Prepare and review purchase requisitions, technical specifications, and vendor compliance for C&I components.
