Job summary

Suria Mining Industries Sdn. Bhd. in Perak is seeking a Geologist to join our tin mining operations. You will conduct geological mapping, field investigations and ore evaluation to support tin production.

You will identify tin-bearing ore zones, manage ore sampling and grade control, interpret Sn/SnO2 assays, and maintain geological records. On-site collaboration with mining and processing teams is essential, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Mining Geology or a related discipline
Sound knowledge of geological sampling, grade control and assay interpretation
Willingness to work on-site and undertake field-based activities
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Relevant experience in tin mining, mineral exploration or mineral processing is an advantage
Fresh graduates with strong fieldwork capability are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Conduct geological mapping, field investigations and ore evaluation
Identify and assess tin-bearing ore zones and cassiterite mineralisation
Manage ore sampling, grade control and Sn/SnO₂ assay interpretation
Monitor and evaluate ore quality from different mining areas
Work closely with the mining and mineral processing teams
Monitor ore feed, concentrate and tailings to support improved tin recovery
Maintain accurate geological records and prepare concise technical reports
Provide geological recommendations for further exploration and mining activities
