The Field Coach is responsible for enhancing the performance and capabilities of front-line retail staff, primarily beauty host or store teams, through on-the-ground coaching, training, and mentoring. This role focuses on improving customer service, product knowledge, selling techniques, and brand representation. The Field Coach works closely with Sales & Operation team, Boutique Managers and Training Teams to identify skill gaps, implement coaching plans, and support individuals in achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Provide real-time, in-store coaching to retail staff on customer engagement, selling skills, product demonstrations, and service standards.
Observe team performance and deliver immediate, constructive feedback and practical tips to improve.
Role-model best practices in customer interactions and brand storytelling.
Identify performance gaps and behavioral challenges through store visits and performance tracking.
Develop tailored coaching plans for individuals or teams to support sales and service improvements.
Motivate and support team members to achieve KPIs and elevate their service mindset.
Work closely with Boutique Managers to align on store goals, staff performance priorities, and business needs.
Partner with Training Managers to reinforce training content and ensure consistent application in-store.
Support the onboarding of new hires with on-site coaching and real-life practice scenarios.
Conduct regular visits to assigned stores based on business needs and priorities.
Maintain structured visit reports highlighting observations, actions taken, and follow-up coaching plans.
Share insights with retail and HR teams to track development progress.
Drive a customer-centric culture through behavior-based coaching aligned with brand values.
Support the achievement of retail sales targets by strengthening frontline staff skills and motivation.
Encourage best practices in upselling, cross-selling, and customer loyalty building.
Document coaching interactions, progress, and outcomes in a clear and timely manner.
Provide regular updates to management on coaching impact and staff development needs.
Identify recurring issues or opportunities and suggest improvements in training content or store processes.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, Training, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in retail operations, sales coaching, or training roles—preferably in the beauty, cosmetics, or fashion industry.
Strong understanding of frontline retail operations, sales dynamics, and customer service best practices.
Proven ability to coach and motivate individuals in a non-authoritative, supportive manner.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to give clear, empathetic, and actionable feedback.
Self-motivated, with strong time management and planning abilities to manage a multi-store coaching schedule.
Able to work in dynamic environments with different teams and personalities.
Willingness to travel frequently and work retail hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
