Job summary

Farnell, an Avnet company, is seeking a technically proficient Sales and Marketing support role for the APAC region. You will assist the sales team with technical queries, develop architectural propositions, and train first-line support while coordinating with Arduino APAC for demonstrations and content creation.

Responsibilities include building technical material, supporting customer meetings, and contributing to trade shows and partner events to drive product adoption and design-in at scale.

Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products, services and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance and repair.

Specific Responsibilities:

Sales and Marketing support

• Support the sales team with technical queries and architectural propositions that arise from existing and prospective customers from Farnell APAC
• Provide technical support to customers using Arduino products where first line support may not have the answer. Train the first line technical support teams where necessary to answer future similar questions.
• Building the technical proposition and solutions for Farnell’s customer engagements.
• Support customer meetings throughout the entire sales process, from opportunity identification to post sales and maintenance. This includes, but not limited to, responding to RFPs, creating customer presentations, training, liaise on custom projects between customer and design/manufacturing teams.
• Create technical material that will help drive a technical audience to Farnell APAC, assisted by the marketing content team.
• Assist marketing team with technical content
• Support Farnell teams with and at industry trade show events and partner tech demos.
• Assist with project and technical collateral creation.
• Work closely with Arduino APAC team and report opportunity pipeline, Design In opportunities arising from Farnell customer base on a regular basis
• Coordinate with Arduino global customer engineering support team and provide support on Arduino Demos, Kits and other industry events.

New application and customisation

• Support the Farnell Sales team to answer technical inquires from customers
• Develop new UnoQ application bricks on the Applab
• Search for UnoQ/VentunoQ solution suppliers and support them in the development of Q based solutions/accessories
• Assist with product design and optimisation that will help secure Farnell product design-in at scale.
• Support Farnell marketing team to review/approve technical contents on the Q products
• Build deep technical knowledge bases on our products, FAQs, product collateral etc.

Key Deliverables for the role

• Provide deep technical support to Product & Sales teams across Farnell Apac
• Support the achievement of Farnell APAC Arduino product sales target
• Achieve the targeted # of DI/DW
• Review product NPI including testing & marketing content
• Support the creation of technical documentation and marketing to support the sales and marketing teams.
• Join customer & supplier calls and meetings as required
• Work with fellow Farnell tech team members & Arduino technical support engineers to develop new Demo and training videos
• Support Farnell technology tradeshows/exhibitions
