Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a junior Field Application Engineer to bridge customers and internal engineering teams in Malaysia. You will lead product demonstrations, feasibility studies, and POC projects, ensuring successful system implementations and high-value automation solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with sales, project, and engineering teams, reading automation architectures, and communicating complex concepts with business value. Heavy travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation/Control Engineering.
• 1–2 years in industrial automation, system integration, or machine building.
• Ability to read automation architecture and basic drawings.
• Strong presentation and communication of technical concepts.

We are looking for a junior Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our growing team. You will be the vital technical bridge between our customers and our internal engineering teams. From conducting proof-of-concepts to ensuring successful system implementation, you will play a key role in delivering high-value industrial automation solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Technical Engagement: Lead product demonstrations, feasibility studies, and Proof-of-Concept (POC) projects.
• Solution Architecting: Provide technical clarification during customer discussions and act as the primary technical interface.
• Project Lifecycle Support: Support technical discussions during project kick-off and provide guidance during system implementation.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the design intent is correctly executed by the project and engineering teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Prepare technical documentation (application notes, solution diagrams) and provide feedback to product teams for future enhancements.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation/Control Engineering.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in industrial automation, system integration, or machine building.
• System Knowledge: Ability to understand automation architecture, system layouts, and basic electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Communication: Strong presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
