Job summary

IME Group in Malaysia is seeking a technically skilled engineer to provide pre-sale, post-sales and application support. The role covers electrical, control, robot, wiring and installation tasks, plus PLC programming for IIoT gateways and project concept design.

The candidate should have a Diploma/degree in Mechatronics or related fields, 1–2 years of experience, and strong English/Bahasa Malaysia communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechatronic, Automotive/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years’ experience in related field.
• Programming knowledge in PLC.
• Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Willing to travel and outstation when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality pre-sale, post-sales and application support to prospects and clients.
• Complete assigned product trainings, projects, and support within deadlines.
• Handle Electrical, control, Robot, Wiring, pneumatic design and installation tasks.
• Shortlist suppliers for Industry 4.0 projects.
• Carry out project concept design and PLC programming, plus IIoT gateway.
• Experience small projects with Visual Studio and Web-based applications.
• Prepare project schedules and monitor progress to handover.
• Provide post-sale support during warranty and liaise with related departments.
• Carry out on-site installation and user training.
• Conduct customer site demonstrations when required.

What you will do:

• To provide quality pre-sale, post- sales and application support to prospect and client to meet company’s goal.
• To complete the assigned product trainings/project/support within set deadlines.
• To be in charge in Electrical, control, Robot, Wiring, pneumatic, design and Installation related tasks.
• To shortlist the suppliers for Industry 4.0 projects.
• To carry out the concept design of the projects, and also to do programming for PLC and also IIOT gateway.
• Experience small project with Visual Studio, Web-Based application project.
• To prepare the project schedule for upcoming projects, and to monitor the progress until project handover.
• To support on after sales during the warranty period. To liaise with other related departments on implementation.
• To carry out on site installation and training to the user.
• To carry out the demo at the customer site when required

Who we’re looking for:

• At least Diploma/ Degree in Mechatronic, Automotive/Electrical Engineering or any related field.
• At least 1-2 years’ working experience in related field.
• Programming knowledge in PLC
• Good written and speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and logical analysis ability skill
• Willing to travel and outstation when necessary
