Job summary

Lian Foo Poultry Farm in Masjid Tanah, Melaka is seeking a hands-on poultry operations assistant to manage daily farm tasks, including egg collection, bird health checks, and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect eggs from automated belts and manage nest boxes.
• Sort, grade, and sanitize eggs, removing defective ones.
• Inspect birds for health, stress, and activity.
• Monitor feeders and drinkers to ensure continuous supply.
• Identify and humane-cull sick or non-productive birds per welfare standards.
• Assist with water/spray vaccination schedules and weight sampling.
• Check house climate and report anomalies.
• Inspect manure and egg collection belts for faults.
• Maintain litter conditions in floors/aviaries.
• Enforce biosecurity measures like shower-in/out and PPE.

Lian Foo Poultry Farm – Masjid Tanah, Melaka

This role involves managing poultry operations on a farm, including egg collection and processing, bird health monitoring, equipment maintenance, and biosecurity compliance.

Key responsibilities

Collect eggs from automated belts, roll-out nest boxes, and floor areas at scheduled intervals

Sort, grade, and sanitize eggs; identify and discard cracked, dirty, micro-fractured, or misshapen eggs

Inspect birds for health, stress, activity levels, and abnormal behaviors. Check crop fill and plumage

Monitor automated chain/pan feeders and nipple drinkers. Ensure continuous supply and unblock lines

Identify, isolate, or humanely cull sick, injured, non-productive, or moribund birds following welfare standards

Assist supervisor with water/spray vaccination schedules, beak trimming assessments, and weight sampling

Check house temperature, humidity, ventilation fan status, and static pressure. Report anomalies immediately

Inspect manure belts, egg collection belts, feeding chains, and augers for mechanical failure

Maintain litter condition in floor areas/aviaries

Strictly enforce biosecurity: shower-in/shower-out, footbath sanitization, PPE compliance, vehicle wash down

About you

Ability to accurately record daily egg count, mortality/cull numbers, feed consumption, water usage, and house temperatures

Knowledge of poultry welfare standards

Ability to work with automated farm equipment and monitoring systems
