Qualifications

• Accurate daily egg counts, mortality, feed and water usage, and house temperatures.
• Knowledge of poultry welfare standards and biosecurity requirements.
• Ability to operate automated farm equipment and monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect eggs from belts and nest boxes at scheduled intervals.
• Sort, grade, and sanitize eggs; discard cracked or dirty eggs.
• Inspect birds for health, welfare, crop fill and plumage.
• Monitor feeders and drinkers; ensure continuous supply and clear blockages.
• Identify and humanely cull sick or non-productive birds per welfare standards.
• Assist with vaccination schedules, beak trimming assessments, and weight sampling.
• Check house temperature, humidity, ventilation, and report anomalies.
• Inspect belts, chains, and augers for mechanical issues; maintain litter.
