AGENSI PEKERJAAN MVC RESOURCES SDN. BHD. is seeking a Debug Engineer in Perak to lead component-level failure analysis, power electronics troubleshooting, and testing qualification for new product platforms.
You will collaborate with global R&D and factory teams to diagnose SMPS design failures, run bench-top experiments and simulations, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful product launches.
Our client is a Global Leader & Premier Manufacturer of Advanced Power Solutions. Delivering critical hardware components, power controllers, and Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) to top-tier international customers across multiple sectors, the company operates an advanced manufacturing facility in Perak. To support ongoing New Product Development (NPD) and high-reliability testing, the NPI department is seeking a highly skilled Debug Engineer.
The Debug Engineer serves as the technical authority for component-level failure analysis, power electronics troubleshooting, and testing qualification for new product platforms. Working in close coordination with global R&D and factory testing teams, this role is responsible for diagnosing complex SMPS design failures, conducting bench-test simulations, determining root causes, and implementing corrective action plans to ensure flawless product launches.
Partner closely with global R&D engineering teams during the testing, validation, and qualification phases of New Product Development (NPD).
Coordinate directly with R&D to resolve complex hardware, testing, and design‑related issues during factory qualification runs.
Execute hands‑on, component‑level failure analysis (FA) on non‑conforming power electronics units using systematic quality and engineering tools.
Design and execute bench‑top experiments and circuit simulations to validate failure hypotheses during root‑cause investigations.
Identify exact component failure mechanisms, analyse power supply circuit topologies, and formulate robust corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Compile and present detailed, professional engineering Failure Analysis reports for senior management, suppliers, and internal R&D stakeholders.
Recommend continuous improvements to production testing methods and manufacturing processes to optimize test yield, reduce costs, and enhance product reliability.
Identify and evaluate the latest technologies, instruments, and methodologies in power supply testing.
Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and operational readiness of failure analysis laboratory equipment.
