Job summary

NCS Global Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Support tester and Failure Analysis (FA) tools specialist in Penang. The role involves setting up and maintaining FA tools, performing first-level failure analysis, and collecting data for SHORT/OPEN failures using IV curves and micro-probing.

You will operate FI tools such as IREM, LADA, and LTM to collect fault data, and you will develop automation scripts in Perl, Python, or C to improve FA processes and data collection at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, electronics, microelectronics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of device physics, microprocessor architecture, circuit analysis, programming, or wafer fabrication is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with semiconductor testing, Failure Analysis, or FA/FI tools is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support tester and FA tools setup, enablement, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform first-level failure analysis and data collection for SHORT/OPEN failures using techniques such as IV curve measurement and micro-probing.
• Operate Optical Failure Isolation tools (IREM, LADA, LTM) to collect and analyze fault isolation data.
• Develop and automate scripts using Perl, Python, C, or similar languages to improve data collection and FA processes.
• Support large-scale data collection, data consolidation, and failure analysis activities.
• Identify defects and potential root causes and support standardization of FA/FI tools and processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and improve FA efficiency.
