Job summary

Micron Technology in Penang is seeking a Factory Operations Manager to lead contract manufacturing operations across NPI and high-volume manufacturing. You will partner with engineering, planning and supply chain to manage demand, optimize capacity, mitigate risks and deliver business results using AI-enabled tools and data analytics.

The role emphasizes continuous process improvement, cross-functional leadership, and capacity modeling to ensure on-time delivery and efficient capital expenditure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in contract manufacturer management, outsource management, product management, or product engineering.
• Proficiency in using and learning AI technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main SIG contact; coordinate with planning teams to understand equipment and board demand.
• Manage CM operations during NPI and high-volume manufacturing to meet delivery schedules.
• Collaborate with field service to support repairs, upgrades, spares.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting CM production and schedules; manage FG inventories.
• Lead capacity modeling and PPV discussions with supply chain.
• Identify capacity constraints and opportunities to minimize capex.
• Apply data analytics and AI tools to uncover trends and risks; inform leadership.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to automate and improve processes.
