Job summary

Micron Technology in Penang, Batu Kawan, is seeking a Process Control System Engineer to start up, develop, and optimize processes that improve product quality, yield, and reliability in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.

You will work on Industry 4.0 solutions, data analysis, and AI-enabled control systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, traveling as needed to meet objectives, and driving cost reduction and productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and advanced process control.
• Degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or physics.
• Knowledge of sensor applications for IIoT.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL, Hadoop or related web-based apps.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Familiar with AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement smart control solutions for manufacturing performance.
• Provide technical oversight for process control implementation.
• Conduct data analysis and modeling to identify process variations and translate findings into control solutions.
• Define data collection requirements and set up in the E3 environment.
• Establish limits, OCAP, and participate in reviews with the process control team and network.
• Develop and deliver training on control systems and related topics.
• Leverage AI to develop control systems for process management (Claude code, LLM).
