Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking an equipment maintenance professional in Penang, Malaysia, to monitor and improve performance, lead RCA, and drive continuous improvement across yield, quality, and cost metrics. You will implement corrective actions and support preventive maintenance using AI-enabled tools.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with semiconductor production equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with semiconductor manufacturing or automated production equipment.
• Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, DOE, RCA, and CI methodologies.
• Ability to leverage data-driven insights using AI tools for automation and improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve equipment performance, uptime, and utilization.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead root cause analysis (RCA).
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and qualification activities.
• Drive yield, quality, productivity, and cost improvement projects.
• Analyze equipment and manufacturing data for trends and improvement opportunities.
• Use AI, ML, automation, and digital tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
• Train technicians and stakeholders on operation and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance on strategic initiatives.
