Top Precision Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking a Factory Manager to oversee a precision manufacturing facility in Penang. You will lead a 25-30 person production team, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure production targets are met while upholding ISO/GMP standards.

You will develop production plans, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. Strong English and Mandarin are required, with experience in Lean manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Solid knowledge of ISO or GMP quality management systems.
• Strong English communication skills; Mandarin proficiency required.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods preferred.

What you'll be doing?

• Production Oversight — Lead and manage day-to-day factory operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and on schedule.
• Team Leadership — Supervise and mentor a production team of 25–30 personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance working culture.
• Process & Quality Management — Drive adherence to quality management systems including ISO and GMP standards, ensuring consistent product quality across all production processes.
• Production Planning — Develop and implement production plans and process flows to optimise capacity, resources, and operational throughput.
• Continuous Improvement — Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and champion initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Health, Safety & Compliance — Ensure the factory operates in full compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and relevant industry standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration — Work closely with senior management and other departments to align manufacturing output with business objectives and customer requirements.
• Reporting & Analysis — Monitor key performance indicators, prepare operational reports, and present findings to senior management to support informed decision-making.

Who are they looking for?

• Manufacturing Experience — A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, is required to be successful in this role.
• Educational Background — A Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related discipline provides the strong technical foundation needed for this role.
• Quality Systems Knowledge — Solid understanding of production planning, process flow, and quality management systems such as ISO or GMP is essential to maintaining the high standards of the facility.
• English Proficiency — Strong command of English is required for effective communication with management, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Mandarin Proficiency — Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required, as this is the primary language of communication with the production team and senior leadership within the organisation.
• Process Improvement Exposure (preferred) — Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as Kaizen or Six Sigma would be an added advantage, though not mandatory.
