Job summary

S&P Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead and optimize our Powder and Liquid Plant operations. You will drive production targets, quality, and cost efficiency while ensuring delivery schedules align with business goals.

The role requires 10–15 years in manufacturing with at least 10 years in a managerial position, strong GMP/HACCP knowledge, and leadership of a large workforce. Petaling Jaya-based with regional scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years manufacturing experience, with at least 10 years in a managerial position.
• Experience managing both powder and liquid food processing operations preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Halal, ISO standards and OSHA/DOSH requirements.
• Experience leading teams of 200+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee factory operations to meet production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency and delivery schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity, process optimization, waste reduction and cost control.
• Monitor KPIs including OEE, productivity, yield, downtime and production costs.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, Halal, ISO and regulatory requirements.
• Lead maintenance planning with Engineering to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate production planning with Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, QA, Maintenance and Supply Chain.
• Develop and manage the factory operating budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA/DOSH compliance.
• Coach and develop department heads and supervisors to build a high-performing team.

Job description

Lead and oversee the overall factory operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, cost efficiency and delivery schedules are consistently achieved.

Manage the daily operations of both the Powder Plant and Liquid Plant to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.

Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, process optimization, waste reduction and cost control.

Monitor key manufacturing KPIs including OEE, productivity, yield, downtime, labor efficiency and production costs.

Ensure strict compliance with Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, Halal, FSSC and all regulatory requirements.

Lead preventive maintenance planning in collaboration with the Engineering Department to minimize equipment downtime.

Ensure production planning is effectively coordinated with Sales, Warehouse, Purchasing, QA, Maintenance and Supply Chain.

Monitor inventory usage, material losses, and production variances to improve manufacturing efficiency.

Lead investigations into production issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Develop and manage the factory operating budget and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOSH, environmental and company safety policies.

Coach, mentor and develop department heads, supervisors and production teams to build a high-performing workforce.

Build a positive employee relations environment while maintaining discipline and operational excellence.

Prepare and present regular operational reports to Senior Management.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 10-15 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 10 years in a managerial position.

Experience managing both powder and liquid food processing operations is highly preferred.

Experience in the beverage, aseptic processing, dairy, plant-based foods or food manufacturing processes is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Halal, Food Safety Management Systems, ISO standards and Occupational Safety & Health requirements.

Proven experience managing a workforce of more than 200 employees.

Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and people management skills.

Excellent production planning, budgeting, and cost control capabilities.

Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
