Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced M&E Maintenance Lead to oversee daily operations, maintenance and facilities at the factory. You will plan preventive maintenance for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and other M&E systems, monitor performance and lead technicians and external contractors.

You will manage maintenance schedules, spare parts and records, coordinate with internal teams on upgrades, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while controlling costs and improving

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in M&E Engineering or related field is required.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in factory, plant, M&E, engineering or maintenance operations.
• Experience managing factory machinery, electrical systems, mechanical equipment and building facilities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience supervising technicians, contractors and maintenance vendors.
• Able to plan preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns promptly.
• Good understanding of safety and regulatory requirements.
• Good communication, leadership and coordination skills.
• Hands-on when required and able to work independently.
• Experience in an M&E/engineering/construction SME environment is advantageous.
• Chargeman certification is an added advantage; GDL license beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, maintenance and overall condition of factory, machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and other M&E systems.
• Monitor performance, breakdowns, downtime and maintenance activities to minimize disruption.
• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, contractors and external service providers.
• Manage maintenance schedules, spare parts, tools, equipment and records.
• Coordinate repair, servicing, installation and upgrading works with internal teams and external contractors.
• Monitor utilities and operating costs such as electricity and water.
• Ensure facilities and equipment are kept in a safe, clean and operational condition.
• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, HSE and Management on factory requirements and improvements.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, schedules and management recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce breakdowns and control costs.

• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, HSE and Management on factory requirements and improvement works.
• Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, schedules and recommendations to Management.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce breakdowns and control maintenance costs.
