Job summary

Head of Factory at Mamee-Double Decker (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia leads all production, engineering, QA, maintenance and people development to deliver safety, quality and cost targets. The role drives TPM, Lean, and digital reporting while ensuring regulatory compliance and sustainability.

You will own factory KPIs, oversee annual plans and CapEx, and build leadership pipelines. Collaboration with Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, and Marketing is essential to sustain growth and excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 12–15 years FMCG/food manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in plant leadership across Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality and other relevant plant functions.
• Proven experience managing automated and high-volume manufacturing operations.
• Proven hands-on experience implementing and sustaining TPM practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong track record in production planning, capacity utilisation, productivity, yield, waste reduction, and cost optimisation.
• Ability to drive operational KPIs, including OEE, production output, downtime, and manufacturing cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead full factory operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and Sustainability targets.
• Own factory-level KPIs including OEE, yield, waste, labour productivity, cost per kg, complaints, downtime, and compliance.
• Drive TPM, Lean, Manufacturing Excellence, and Smart Factory transformation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, Halal, IFS, ISO, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Build strong collaboration with Supply Chain, R&D, QA, Engineering, SHE, HR, Finance, Commercial, and Marketing.
• Lead annual operating plan, factory budget, CapEx planning, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Develop leadership pipeline for managers, engineers, executives, supervisors, and technicians.
• Champion automation, MES, SCADA, digital reporting, predictive maintenance, and data-driven decision making.
• Lead crisis management for major safety, quality, operational, or supply disruption issues.
