Qualifications

  • Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, biomedical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian safety regulations and standards (e.g., DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties if required.
  • Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

FACILITY TECHNICIAN, FACILITY ENGINEERING MAINTENANCE-2

The Facility Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of hospital facilities and building systems. This includes maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and basic civil works to support a high-quality healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).

Monitor and maintain critical systems such as generators, medical gas systems, water supply, and fire protection systems.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.

Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards, hospital policies, and local regulations.

Assist in managing service contractors and ensure work is completed according to specifications.

Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.

Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs for building infrastructure and equipment.

Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of facility areas, including patient rooms, operating theatres, and common areas.

Requirements
