Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Facility Technician for Facility Engineering Maintenance. The role focuses on keeping hospital facilities and building systems safe, efficient, and operational through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with service contractors.

The incumbent will handle HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, monitor critical infrastructure, and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, biomedical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Familiarity with Malaysian safety regulations and standards (e.g., DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and on-call duties if required.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

The Facility Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of hospital facilities and building systems. This includes maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and basic civil works to support a high-quality healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of hospital equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).

Requirements

Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, biomedical engineering or related field.

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.

Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing.
