Job summary

IOT Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, is seeking a Facility Technician to join our Facility Department. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance across building infrastructure, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems to ensure a safe, reliable manufacturing environment.

The candidate should be hands-on, safety-conscious, and capable of troubleshooting facility-related issues effectively, working both independently and as part of a team to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Requires SPM/SKM or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Building Services or related field.
• Relevant facility or maintenance experience is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and utility systems.
• Able to perform basic troubleshooting and read technical drawings/equipment manuals.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for building infrastructure and facility systems.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance of walls, ceilings, doors, windows, flooring, drainage, fencing and gates.
• Inspect, service and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including AHU, split-unit air conditioners, fresh air, ventilation and exhaust systems.
• Maintain electrical distribution, plumbing and water supply systems.
• Maintain utility systems including CDA, LEV, cooling towers and water pumps.
• Monitor utility consumption and report abnormalities.
• Support maintenance and inspection of fire protection systems.
• Maintain external compounds, car parks, walkways, drainage and surrounding areas.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and respond promptly to facility breakdowns.
• Complete assigned maintenance activities within the required service level.

The successful candidate should be hands‑on, safety‑conscious and able to troubleshoot facility-related issues effectively.

Key responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for building infrastructure and facility systems.

Carry out repairs and maintenance of walls, ceilings, doors, windows, flooring, drainage, fencing and gates.

Inspect, service and troubleshoot HVAC systems, including AHU, split‑unit air conditioners, fresh air, ventilation and exhaust systems.

Maintain electrical distribution, plumbing and water supply systems.

Maintain utility systems including Compressed Dry Air (CDA), LEV, cooling towers and water pumps.

Monitor utility consumption and report abnormalities.

Support maintenance and inspection of fire protection systems.

Maintain external compounds, car parks, walkways, drainage and surrounding areas.

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and respond promptly to facility breakdowns.

Complete assigned maintenance activities within the required service level.

About you

SPM, SKM or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Building Services or a related field.

Relevant facility or maintenance experience is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and utility systems.

Able to perform basic troubleshooting and use common hand and power tools.

Able to read and understand basic technical drawings and equipment manuals.

Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Good time management and safety awareness.

Able to perform hands‑on maintenance work and support operational requirements.
