Job summary

Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Facility Section Manager to lead and optimise our Batu Kawan operations in Penang. This full-time role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient and compliant facility performance to support manufacturing continuity.

You will oversee maintenance, energy management and project delivery, while developing the Facilities team and coordinating with contractors and the Purchasing department. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of facilities management or maintenance supervision experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices.
• Proven track record in leading maintenance teams and coordinating contractors.
• Experience developing preventive maintenance programmes and uptime strategies.
• Understanding health and safety regulations, building codes and environmental compliance.
• Proficient in CMMS or maintenance management software and basic computer literacy.
• Excellent organisational, time management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Relevant certifications in facilities management, maintenance or safety are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee installation, maintenance, upgrading, and refurbishment of facility systems.
• Manage service providers and contractors for security, maintenance, and outsourced services.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements.
• Identify and implement energy efficiency and utility management initiatives to reduce costs.
• Plan facility construction, expansion, renovation, and improvement projects with timely completion.
• Collaborate with Purchasing on vendor selection, specs, quotations, and procurement requirements.
• Ensure proper maintenance of facility equipment, systems, and supplies to meet standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify repair, upgrade or renovation needs.
• Monitor energy and water consumption; implement measures to optimise usage.
• Lead, supervise, and develop Facilities team while coordinating external contractors.
• Strategise space utilisation aligned with business needs and growth plans.
• Support other facility-related projects and ensure ISO and SOP compliance.
