Job summary

Gateway Search is seeking a Head of Facility Management in Malaysia to own all factory O&M for a fast-paced high-tech plant. You will lead technical standards, drive discipline, and build a high-performance local team while coordinating outsourced service providers.

The role requires 10+ years in FM within large-scale manufacturing, a mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering background, and Mandarin/Bahasa proficiency. Relocation support available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of facility management experience in large-scale manufacturing.
• Experience managing outsourced service teams with penalty-based KPIs.
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or equivalent is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own factory O&M end-to-end for all critical facility systems (water, electrical, gases, HVAC, fire protection, elevators).
• Enforce strict standards, uptime, humidity, cleanliness, and safety.
• Build and lead a direct team of technicians and engineers with clear SOPs and metrics.
• Oversee outsourced vendors with KPI/penalty regime and performance monitoring.
• Act as first responder for major facility incidents and 24/7 crisis recovery.
