PTT Synergy Group Berhad in Penang is seeking an Facilities & Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to support the zero-breakdown target for the ASRS by executing preventive and corrective maintenance with the Production Department.
You will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot efficiently, and ensure critical systems such as HVAC, CRAC, Chillers, UPS, batteries, generators and switchgear are maintained. Training will be provided.
Support the achievement of zero breakdowns for the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) by effectively executing preventive and corrective maintenance programs in collaboration with the customer's Production Department. Ensure all production equipment is maintained in optimal operating condition.
Lead assigned maintenance activities and monitor the performance of delegated tasks. Perform troubleshooting and repair work efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to customer operations, particularly within critical environments.
Responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and inspection of critical facility systems including HVAC systems, Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC), Chillers, UPS systems, DC battery systems, Generators, Transfer switches and Wwitchgear.
Work closely with maintenance team, production personnel and external contractors to ensure service quality and operational excellence are maintained at all times.
Assist the Mechanical Maintenance Team in carrying out corrective maintenance activities as required.
Support the Maintenance & Facility Manager in delivering maintenance services in accordance with the customer's Service Level Agreement (SLA). Ensure full compliance with SLA requirements, including timely incident escalation, reporting to the monitoring centre within stipulated timeframes, and submission of written incident reports within 24 hours.
Education & Qualifications
Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in electrical maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
Knowledge and experience in planning and executing equipment maintenance activities, including ad hoc troubleshooting, while adhering to all safety requirements and procedures.
Experience in building facilities inspection and maintenance is an added advantage.
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Candidates must be willing to work on a rotating shift schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by operational needs.
Training will be provided.
