The successful candidate will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, manage contractors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure reliable operations and cost efficiency.
TRIVO ELECTRONICS SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated and experienced Facility Engineer to join our team in Senai, Johor. This is a full-time position responsible for planning, managing, maintaining, and improving the operation, reliability, efficiency, and safety of facility equipment, utilities, and building infrastructure across our existing and new manufacturing facilities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth facility operations by overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting complex facility issues, managing contractors, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee the daily operation and maintenance of facility equipment, utilities, and building services to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for facility systems and infrastructure.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for facility equipment breakdowns and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime.
Manage and maintain utility systems, including electrical distribution, HVAC, air compressors, compressed air systems, water supply, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment.
Support facility planning, installation, commissioning, upgrading, and expansion projects for existing and new manufacturing facilities.
Ensure facility systems and maintenance activities comply with cleanroom protocols and cleanroom operational requirements.
Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate contractors and service providers to ensure maintenance and project work are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule and required standards.
Monitor facility equipment performance, utility consumption, and system efficiency, and recommend improvement initiatives to optimize operational reliability and cost efficiency.
Maintain and review maintenance records, technical documentation, equipment performance data, abnormalities, and corrective actions.
Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations to management regarding facility operation, maintenance, improvement, and capital expenditure requirements.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide technical expertise and engineering support to ensure timely restoration of operations.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintain good housekeeping standards in plant utility areas and drive continuous improvement initiatives for facility operations.
Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
Certified Chargeman AO is preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facility engineering, facility maintenance, utilities, or building services, preferably within the manufacturing or electronics industry.
Strong hands-on and technical experience in managing and maintaining facility systems such as:
Experience in facility project management, equipment installation, commissioning, or factory expansion projects is an added advantage.
Able to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and utility system issues and conduct root cause analysis.
Able to read, understand, and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
Basic knowledge of facility maintenance management and preventive maintenance systems.
Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Responsible, proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
