Job summary

Cofreth (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is hiring a Facilities Technician to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of M&E systems in buildings, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection. You will assist with installation and modification of M&E systems and respond to emergencies and customer concerns.

The role requires a Certificate or Diploma in Air Conditioning, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, about 2 years of related experience in building maintenance, and strong

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Air Conditioning, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering obtained from technical or vocational schools, polytechnic or equivalent.
• 2 years of related experience in building maintenance or maintenance of high-rise buildings or shopping malls.
• Working experience in HVAC, electrical, mechanical or any similar combination of education and experience.
• Good internal and external customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facilities and ground maintenance.
• Ability to maintain and operate with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting/repairs of mechanical and electrical systems in buildings including air conditioning, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and minor civil works.
• Assist with installation and modification of M&E systems in buildings, plants, premises and properties.
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and implement savings opportunities.
• Perform work according to standard operating procedures and ensure daily tasks are updated in the Facilities Management System.
• Monitor sub-contractor's works and ensure they are performing duties according to contracts.
• Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer complaints.
• Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and perform preventative maintenance according to schedule.
• Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Perform welding and minor carpentry works, if required.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations and Company directives related to building operations and practice safe work habits.

Job description

This role involves performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting/repairs of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems in buildings, including air conditioning systems, electrical systems, fire protection systems, plumbing, and minor civil works. About you
