Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Malaysia to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems across mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and related areas. You will support preventive maintenance, energy efficiency, and safety compliance for a large industrial site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 4–5 years of facilities management experience, strong MS Office skills, and a disciplined, analytical mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant facilities management experience.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and perform demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, lighting, fire life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to meet rated life.
• Follow policies for safe storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure operation within design specs.
• Apply standard principles to complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across multiple disciplines.
• Lead by example, aligning with CBRE RISE values and building consensus.
