Job summary

AMETEK Malaysia seeks an experienced Facilities & Maintenance Engineer to lead the department responsible for building services, production equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance at the Bayan Lepas facility. You will ensure safe, reliable operations through planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will oversee technicians, manage spares/procurement, and drive projects that improve performance and reduce costs, while supporting documentation,

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 6 years in managing Maintenance/Process Engineering.
• Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14000, Safety & Health legislation and local regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently with strong leadership qualities.
• Willing to work outside office hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Facilities & Maintenance Department, including building services, M&E installations, and safety matters.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance for building systems to ensure safety and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to minimize downtime.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly reports to management and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate on improvement projects to reduce costs and improve performance.
