Job summary

AMETEK, a global industrial technology leader, seeks a Manufacturing Equipment & Tooling Engineer in Malaysia to lead engineering and quality functions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure service and compliance across production lines.

The role focuses on maintaining furnaces, tooling, and manufacturing equipment, while optimizing performance, reliability, and cost efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment. Strong ownership and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Maintenance methodologies (preventive & corrective)
• Experience with furnace maintenance and temperature control systems is a plus
• Spare parts inventory management and TPM
• Strong technical documentation and reporting
• Effective communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Maintain furnaces, testing equipment, tooling, fixtures and associated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Maintain machine maintenance records and repair history; develop and maintain maintenance schedules.
• Track equipment performance, downtime and maintenance costs; generate maintenance reports and metrics.
• Monitor spare parts inventory levels and replenish to support production needs.
• Coordinate tooling repair, modification and replacement; ensure tooling readiness for production schedules.
• Support installation, commissioning and qualification of new equipment.
• Identify opportunities to reduce maintenance costs and improve equipment efficiency.
• Ensure equipment operates within specified parameters and safety requirements.
