Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Facilities/M&E Manager to oversee all M&E facilities at a shopping mall or large commercial building. You will act as the 11kV Competent Person, lead preventive maintenance, and supervise contractors to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Minimum 5 years’ experience and a Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Services are required, with strong knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, and building services.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities/M&E management, preferably in a shopping mall or large commercial building.
• Strong knowledge of 11kV/LV electrical systems, HVAC, fire protection, lifts and building services.
• Strong leadership, troubleshooting and contractor-management skills, with good knowledge of ST, BOMBA, DOSH and local authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage all M&E facilities including electrical, HVAC, fire protection, lifts, plumbing and building systems to ensure safe and reliable mall operations.
• Act as the BO 11kV Competent Person and oversee the operation, maintenance, testing and statutory compliance of the 11kV electrical installation.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, breakdown response and emergency management to minimise operational downtime.
• Manage contractors and maintenance teams, ensuring service quality, safety compliance, SLA/KPI performance and timely completion of works.
• Control maintenance budgets and statutory compliance, including inspections, licences, certifications, CAPEX planning and energy/utilities optimisation.
