Job summary

Intel in Malaysia, Penang, seeks a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain industrial instrumentation and automation systems for facilities operations, manufacturing, and labs. You will troubleshoot and optimize existing systems while creating new control solutions to improve performance and reliability.

Focus areas include Building Monitoring System (BMS), PLCs, control valves, and monitoring sensors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering with 2–5 years of hands-on instrumentation and controls experience.
• Experience with pressure, temperature, humidity, and flow sensors.
• Familiar with GE Cimplicity, Rockwell Logix PLC, and SCADA systems.
• Ability to interpret instrumentation installation drawings, PLC Logic diagrams, and interface systems for PLC/SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain instrumentation systems for facilities operations.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and program analytical instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Develop and modify control systems to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement solutions to address and rectify issues.
• Prepare engineering assessments and provide technical direction for construction designs.
• Manage projects within defined cost and time constraints, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including design engineers, operations staff, and external contractors.
• Assist ance in procurement processes will be required
• Analyze data, create reports, and provide consultancy support on technical matters.
