Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia's Penang site is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to ensure the continuous availability and reliability of mechanical systems across manufacturing, labs, data centers, and facilities. You will design, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize exhaust and wet systems while aligning with safety and environmental objectives.

You will work with internal customers and external partners to sustain operations, mentor teams, and drive asset upgrades and reliability

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with relevant facilities experience.
5+ years (or 3+ with Master) in facilities mechanical systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Own, sustain, and improve system reliability, capability, capacity, and operational troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Develop engineering scopes of work for mechanical projects and conduct design reviews.
Partner with internal customers and external service providers to ensure systems are maintained and operated within limits.
Support environmental compliance for facilities mechanical systems and safety standards.
Conduct feasibility studies and testing to improve system performance.
Collaborate on roadmaps and asset replacement strategies for facility growth.
