Job summary

Meridian Maplestar seeks a proactive Facilities Manager in Malaysia to plan and oversee preventive maintenance for building systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage building infrastructure including roofs and common areas. Qualifications

• Experience in facility management and maintenance is required.
• Ability to plan and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of building systems.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and suppliers to complete projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of building systems such as air-conditioning, plumbing, CCTV, and fire safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health and environmental standards, and local building codes.
• Manage and maintain building infrastructure including the roof, Passenger Hoist, and common areas.
• Lead facility-related projects, including renovations, system upgrades, and construction.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement energy-efficient strategies to reduce facility energy consumption and costs.
• Conduct energy audits and provide recommendations for energy-saving measures.
• Manage the facility’s budget, track expenses, and ensure that expenditures align with allocated funds.
• Prepare cost estimates for facility improvement projects and handle procurement of materials and services.
• Monitor and maintain all safety protocols, ensuring the facility complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain safety records and conduct regular safety inspections.
• Ensure that fire and safety systems are operational and compliant with regulations.
• Oversee the utilization of building space and design layouts to optimize efficiency.
• Plan for future facility needs and expansion.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for maintenance and repairs.
