Job summary

Intel in Malaysia (Penang) is seeking an experienced Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain industrial instrumentation and automation systems for facilities operations, labs, and manufacturing. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, calibration, and developing new control solutions for reliability and performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or related field required.
2–5 years hands-on experience in instrumentation and controls.
Familiarity with sensors (pressure, temperature, humidity, flow) and instrumentation.
Experience with PLC/SCADA and industrial automation platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain industrial instrumentation systems for facilities operations.
Troubleshoot, calibrate, and program analytical instrumentation to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
Develop and modify control systems to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement solutions to address and rectify issues.
Prepare engineering assessments and provide technical direction for construction designs.
Manage projects within defined cost and time constraints, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, including design engineers, operations staff, and external contractors.
Assistance in procurement processes will be required
Analyze data, create reports, and provide consultancy support on technical matters.
