Job summary

FIT PIONEER RESOURCES SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned Facade Design Lead in Malaysia to drive the façade and curtain wall design across the project lifecycle. You will coordinate design teams, ensure quality and compliance, and resolve technical challenges to deliver optimized solutions.

We require 6–8 years in façade design, strong leadership, and proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit. Singapore experience is a plus and will be an advantage in cross-border projects.

Key responsibilities

Lead and manage the façade design function, overseeing the development and delivery of façade and curtain wall solutions across the project lifecycle. You will coordinate design teams and stakeholders, maintain design quality and compliance, resolve technical challenges, and contribute to design optimisation and value engineering.

Lead, manage, and coordinate the façade design team, allocating resources and monitoring design progress to ensure timely and quality delivery.

Oversee the development of façade and curtain wall design concepts, system layouts, technical details, shop drawings, and construction drawings.

Review and approve design drawings, calculations, technical submissions, and detailing to ensure accuracy, buildability, and compliance with project specifications and applicable codes and standards.

Manage design coordination with project managers, structural and other engineers, architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues and maintain design intent.

Evaluate façade systems, materials, fabrication methods, and installation requirements, providing technical recommendations on design optimisation and value engineering.

Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and client requirements, identifying design risks, interface issues, and potential constraints at an early stage.

Lead technical problem-solving and manage design changes arising from site conditions, client comments, coordination requirements, or authority submissions.

Monitor design deliverables, schedules, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project milestones.

Establish and maintain design procedures, drawing standards, and technical best practices.

Conduct internal design reviews and support continuous improvement across the design function.

Provide technical guidance, coaching, and development support to design team members.

What we're looking for

Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience in façade or curtain wall design, preferably with experience leading or managing a design team.

Strong background in façade design development, technical detailing, design review, and project coordination.

Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture, Civil or Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or BIM software such as Revit.

Knowledge of façade design and analysis tools is an advantage.

Good understanding of façade systems, including curtain walls, cladding, glazing, materials, fabrication, and installation processes.

Familiarity with relevant local and international building codes and design standards.

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.

Singapore working experience is an added advantage.
