Job summary

Aloft Hotels in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a non-management Hotel Staff member to ensure guest needs are met and service is delivered as a team. Duties include opening/closing tasks, inventory, safety, and assistant to management in staffing and coaching. A strong customer-service mindset is required.

The role requires at least 2 years of related experience and a minimum high school diploma. Supervisory experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff work together as a team to provide optimum service.
• Inspect grooming and attire, and rectify deficiencies.
• Complete opening and closing duties including setting up supplies and cleaning equipment.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO, and cleanliness.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating, service, safety and guest well-being.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and coaching staff.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to standards and show appreciation.
• Maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
