Job summary

Tune Hotel 1Borneo, part of the Ormond Group family and operated by OHG Services Sdn Bhd, seeks a kitchen professional to prepare and deliver high-quality food in a busy restaurant and function kitchen. You will also handle diverse daily prep tasks to support the kitchen team.

Ideally you bring 2–3 years of experience, strong English and Bahasa, and a can-do attitude. You will work under the Hotel Manager, maintain cleanliness, follow safety policies, and contribute to ongoing food quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of food service operations and diverse service styles.
• From Airline Industry, F&B, Restaurant Service, Hotel or equivalent preferred.
• Good command of English and Bahasa.
• Independent, self-motivated and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte and buffet menus.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils and equipment.
• Have full knowledge of menu items, daily features and promotions.
• Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Carry out any other duties as required by management.

Tune Hotel 1Borneo is part of the Ormond Group portfolio and as a vital member of the team, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You'll work directly with the Hotel Manager and will be responsible in preparing and delivering high quality food items in a busy restaurant and function kitchen. You will also be able to undertake a varied list of food preparation for the kitchen on a daily basis. The right attitude and skills will make a big difference to our overall food offering, helping us to continuously improve our reputation.

Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues.

Prepare, cook and service all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to recipes and standards.

Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.

Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions.

Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards.

Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.

Carry out any other duties as required by management.

Who Must You Be?

To successfully fill this role, you will have the right attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

Minimum of 2-3 years relevant working experience
