Job summary

The Chow Kit Hotel is seeking a Food & Beverages Host to warmly greet guests, recommend dishes, and take accurate orders. You will serve food and drinks promptly, maintain spotless dining areas, and work closely with the kitchen to ensure timely and correct order preparation.

Ideal candidates have a hospitality background and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills. You will support events, manage transactions, and uphold hygiene standards while representing the brand

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Hospitality, F&B, or related field.
• Prior experience in F&B service or hospitality is an advantage (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Friendly, presentable, and customer-oriented with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take accurate orders, and provide menu recommendations.
• Serve food and beverages promptly following standard procedures and ensure proper table settings.
• Set up, arrange, and clean tables and dining areas before, during, and after service.
• Handle guest inquiries and address concerns with a professional attitude; escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of orders.
• Maintain knowledge of offerings to provide detailed information to guests.
• Suggest and up-sell menu items to enhance experience and revenue.
• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and give change as required.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in F&B areas.
• Participate in daily briefings about events and menu changes.
• Assist in inventory management and report shortages or damages.
• Support F&B team during events for seamless execution.
• Adhere to company policies, including dress code and conduct.
• Typhoid vaccination and a Food Handling Certificate are required.
