Job summary

Jaya Grocer in Malaysia seeks an HR Recruiter to support end-to-end recruitment across outlets. You will collaborate with hiring managers to clarify roles, post ads, screen candidates, and coordinate assessments.

Your work will help build strong university and college partnerships for graduate and internship pipelines. The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor in HR, at least 2 years in recruitment, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in recruitment field.
• Recruiters/Executive Search background with a track record of closing vacancies.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Meticulous, proactive and independent; able to work with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the hiring manager to understand the job description and required qualifications.
• Determine the best method to fill vacancies and prepare job advertisements.
• Define job-skill sets and interview questions, and verify with candidates.
• Interview candidates and select the most qualified for review by hiring managers.
• Coordinate pre-employment tests and conduct reference checks.
• Establish rapport with government agencies, universities, and colleges for grads or school leaver recruiting.
• Identify placement for new hires based on vacancies across outlets.
• Conduct exit interviews and report trends to management.
• Perform other duties in general operational functions and ad-hoc tasks.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Meets with the hiring manager to obtain understanding of the job description and ascertain minimum and preferred qualifications.


• Determines the best method to fill the identified vacancies. Prepares job advertisements to source for suitable candidates.


• Determines the job-skill sets for the job and determine the interview questions to verify with candidates.


• Interview potential candidates and select the most qualified for further review as necessary by hiring managers.


• Administer or coordinate validated pre-employment test.


• Conduct reference checks on selected candidates, before offer of employment.


• Establish and maintain rapport with Government agencies, Universities, Schools and Colleges for recruiting plans for graduates and school leaver candidates.


• Identify placement for new hiring candidates based on the vacancies available in outlets.


• Conduct exit interviews to determine reason for resignation, and apprise company management for any significant trend, such as performance problems, training and career pathing and pay practices.


• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.


• Perform any other duties in general operational functions and ad-hoc assignments.

You should have:

• Candidates must possess a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline.


• At least 2 year(s) of working experience specializing in the recruitment field.


• Candidates must have Recruiters/ Executive Search background with shown track record of closing opening vacancies.


• Good command of spoken and written English & Bahasa Malaysia.


• Meticulous, proactive and independent.


• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
