Job summary

Central Minerals & Chemicals Sdn Bhd seeks a planning professional to lead demand and supply planning, manage inventory, and coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure stock availability across all product lines.

You will monitor forecasts, refine demand plans, work with Production, Packaging, Logistics and Sales, optimize turnover, implement safety stock policies and report inventory health and supply risks to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management
• Experience in minerals, chemicals, or manufacturing industries preferred
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and demand planning tools
• Proficiency in Excel/data analysis
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor supply levels and forecast demand to ensure sufficient stock availability across all product lines
• Collaborate with Business Unit Heads to improve forecasting accuracy and align supply plans with sales/business projections
• Track market trends, seasonality, and customer order patterns to refine demand forecasts
• Optimize inventory turnover and minimize excess or obsolete stock
• Implement and maintain safety stock policies based on product demand variability, lead times, and criticality
• Monitor inventory KPIs (stock cover, turnover ratio, aging stock) and take corrective action where needed
• Work closely with Production and Packaging Material Planners to align supply plans with production schedules and material availability
• Liaise with Logistics/Warehouse teams to ensure timely stock movement and replenishment
• Identify potential supply chain risks (supplier delays, raw material shortages, demand spikes) and propose mitigation strategies
• Prepare regular reports and dashboards on inventory status, forecast accuracy, and supply risks for management review
