Job summary

Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) is seeking an Executive, Strategic Communication to lead strategic communication initiatives for the Perak state government think tank. The role focuses on planning, content development, and media engagement to communicate research findings and programs.

The candidate should have 1–5 years in strategic communication or related fields, with strong Bahasa Malaysia and English writing skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Business, Languages, or related fields.
• A Master’s degree will be considered an added advantage.
• 1–5 years in strategic communication, public relations, media, stakeholder engagement, project management, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement strategic communication initiatives.
• Manage communication across digital and media platforms and engage with key stakeholders.
• Develop and coordinate communication content, publications, and promotional materials.
• Work closely with internal teams to communicate research findings and organisational initiatives.
• Manage media engagement, publicity, and communication performance.
• Coordinate events, stakeholder engagement, CSR, and organisational programmes.
• Build relationships with government agencies, media, NGOs, private sector, and strategic partners.
• Support strategic projects and special assignments.

Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) is the think tank for the Perak state government, dedicated to driving impactful policies and strategic initiatives. We are looking for a dynamic Executive, Strategic Communication to join us.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement strategic communication initiatives.

Manage communication across digital and media platforms and engage with key stakeholders.

Develop and coordinate communication content, publications, and promotional materials.

Work closely with internal teams to communicate research findings and organisational initiatives.

Manage media engagement, publicity, and communication performance.

Coordinate events, stakeholder engagement, CSR, and organisational programmes.
