Job summary

MISC Berhad is seeking a payroll professional for a 6-month contract to manage end-to-end payroll for specified employee groups in Malaysia. You will ensure accuracy, confidentiality and timely submissions while supporting system troubleshooting and data governance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of payroll experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Payroll modules.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute accurate and timely end-to-end payroll for assigned employee groups, performing variance checks, resolving discrepancies and ensuring full data accuracy before submission.
• Review payroll outputs for completeness and accuracy, including variance reports, wage-type distributions, payroll summaries and bank submission files, while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory payments and submissions (SOCSO, EPF, Tax, HRDF, Zakat, PTPTN, etc.) and generate statutory forms (EA, BE, CP8D, PCB) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and govern payroll master data accuracy by overseeing updates to HR and payroll systems, ensuring timely reflection of hires, promotions, transfers and terminations, and performing analytical checks to maintain data integrity.
• Act as system focal point and subject matter expert, supporting system troubleshooting, leading root-cause analysis, managing corrective actions and performing UAT for system enhancements or payroll-related changes.
• Responsible in preparation of manpower analytics and reports, including headcount, vacancy, staff cost summaries and intercompany back-charging, ensuring data accuracy and providing insights for management decision-making.

• Manage tax-related documents (CP21, CP22, CP22A, income statements, manual EA forms) for resigning, retiring and internationally posted employees in accordance with tax rules.
• Ensure strong governance, documentation and audit readiness by maintaining complete payroll records, supporting audit engagements, addressing audit queries and implementing corrective measures to strengthen compliance.
• Lead first-level payroll support and stakeholder communication, ensuring timely issue resolution, accurate advisory, consistent updates and escalation of complex matters while upholding confidentiality and service standards.

What We're Looking For:

• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Basic hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Payroll modules.
