Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in STEM education or sustainability agriculture in informal learning environments.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with ability to engage diverse audiences.

Job description

Executive, Learning Delivery (Johor Bahru)

Coordinate the successful planning, execution, and evaluation of outreach initiatives aimed at promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) learning content transcends the science center through immersive customized and signature programs developed, aligning with the company vision and mission.

Key Accountabilities

1) Learning Space & Operations Management

Support the day-to-day operations of Petrosains PlayFarm, including routine inspections, monitoring, and maintenance of learning spaces, plants, animals, resources, and operational systems to ensure safe, sustainable, and engaging visitor experiences.

Manage and maintain assigned learning platforms, ensuring facilities, equipment, and learning environments support high-quality educational experiences.

Implement health and safety regulations by staying abreast of evolving laws and standards.

Support the procurement, inventory management, and maintenance of plants, livestock, farming supplies, equipment, and other operational resources.

2) STEM & Sustainability Programme Delivery (Inreach and outreach)

Deliver engaging STEM, sustainability, and other educational programmes, including but not limited to sustainable agriculture, for students, teachers, families, and community groups.

Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, guided activities, and hands-on learning experiences at the centre and through outreach programmes.

Support the development and continuous improvement of educational content and learning activities.

Train and guide peers and volunteers as facilitators and programme support teams to ensure quality programme delivery and operational excellence.

Serve as a subject matter resource for PlayFarm-related learning experiences and support colleagues in delivering sustainability-focused programmes.

Support the delivery of STEM communication, learning programmes, and visitor engagement activities across Petrosains PlaySmart Johor Bahru as required.

Collect programme data and participant feedback to measure learning outcomes and identify improvement opportunities.

Monitor, record, and analys the PlayFarm operational and learning data to support evidence-based decision-making.

Conduct and document small-scale research, trials, and pilot initiatives related to sustainable agriculture, environmental education, and learning innovation.

Identify, evaluate, and recommend improvements to PlayFarm operations, learning experiences, and sustainability practices.

Prepare programme reports and documentation to support impact measurement and continuous enhancement.

4) Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, universities, government agencies, community partners, industry experts, and other stakeholders.

Support collaboration initiatives that strengthen STEM and sustainability learning opportunities.

Engage with subject matter experts and industry partners to identify emerging practices, technologies, and opportunities that enhance PlayFarm and sustainability learning initiatives.

5) Department Key Areas

Support critical departmental functions, including specialised programmes, marketing, finance, and digital platforms.

Apply strategic planning and effective execution to enhance departmental capabilities and drive continuous improvement

Qualification, Experience & Competencies

Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Biology, Science Education, Engineering, STEM-related disciplines, or a related field.

Experience or strong interest in STEM education of sustainability agriculture or urban farming in an informal learning environments.

Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Good planning, coordination, and project management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Digitally savvy and comfortable using technology for programme delivery and administration.
