Job summary

Suzuki Malaysia is seeking an experienced IT Support professional to manage and support the company's IT infrastructure, ERP (Dynamics NAV), and user needs across our operations in Malaysia. You will monitor networks, backups and CCTV, while developing internal applications and reports to meet business requirements.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in IT support or ERP environments, familiarity with Dynamics NAV, SQL Server, AD and Windows Server, plus strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

• 2+ years in IT Support, System Administration or ERP Support.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, data extraction basics.
• Hardware troubleshooting and software installation experience.
• Networking basics: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, VPN.
• Experience with AD, Windows Server and Microsoft 365 is a plus.
• Knowledge of backup, cloud backups and disaster recovery.
• Familiar with CCTV installation and maintenance is an advantage.
• Basic programming or report development (SQL, C#, VB.NET) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for software, hardware, network and ERP issues.
• Maintain IT infrastructure: computers, printers, network devices and related hardware.
• Support and troubleshoot ERP system (Dynamics NAV) and assist end users.
• Develop, test, deploy and maintain in-house applications and reports.
• Generate reports and perform ad hoc data extraction from SQL Server.
• Monitor backups for on-premise and cloud servers to ensure data integrity.
• Manage CCTV systems: configuration, monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
• Install, configure and upgrade OS, software and IT equipment.
• Manage user accounts and access in Active Directory.
• Coordinate with external vendors for system maintenance and IT procurement.
• Procure IT hardware, software and related equipment.
• Provide IT support to internal users, branches and dealer networks.
• Maintain IT documentation, assets and system records.
• Communicate project updates to Head of Department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

• Provide first-level technical support for software, hardware, network and ERP-related issues.


• Manage, monitor and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including computers, printers, network devices and related hardware.


• Support, maintain and troubleshoot the company's ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) and assist end users with system-related enquiries.


• Develop, test, deploy and maintain in-house applications, reports and enhancements based on business requirements.


• Generate reports and perform ad hoc data extraction from Microsoft SQL Server.


• Monitor scheduled backups for on-premise and cloud servers to ensure data integrity and business continuity.


• Manage and maintain CCTV systems, including configuration, monitoring and basic troubleshooting.


• Install, configure and upgrade operating systems, software applications and IT equipment.


• Manage user accounts, permissions and access rights in Microsoft Active Directory.


• Coordinate with external vendors for system maintenance, software support and IT procurement.


• Procure IT hardware, software and related equipment in accordance with company requirements.


• Provide technical support to internal users, branch offices and dealer networks, ensuring timely issue resolution.


• Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory and system records.


• Communicate project updates and technical issues to the Head of Department in a timely manner.


• Perform any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.


• Minimum 2 years of working experience in IT Support, System Administration or ERP Support.


• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) or other ERP systems is preferred.


• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including basic query writing and data extraction.


• Experience in computer hardware troubleshooting, software installation and technical support.


• Familiar with networking concepts, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi and VPN.


• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environment is an added advantage.


• Knowledge of server backup solutions, cloud backup and disaster recovery practices.


• Experience in CCTV installation, configuration and maintenance is an advantage.


• Basic programming or report development skills (e.g. SQL, C#, VB.NET or similar) will be an added advantage.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Able to work independently as well as in a team with minimal supervision.


• Fast learner with a proactive attitude and willingness to continuously develop technical skills.
