- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA 1994), Factories and Machinery Act 1967 (FMA), and related regulations.
- Maintain and update the company's Safety & Health policies, SOPs, and programs.
- Conduct risk assessments (HIRARC) for all work activities.
- Lead or support Emergency Response Team (ERT) preparations, drills, and documentation.
- Report and investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses, including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental Quality Act 1974, DOE (JAS) regulations, and local authority requirements.
- Monitor and manage scheduled waste, air emission, noise, and other environmental aspects.
- Maintain environmental records and support ESG / sustainability reporting where required.
3. HSEQ Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare monthly HSEQ reports, compliance documents, audit reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain updated licenses, permits, and statutory requirements (e.g., PMA, DOSH approvals, DOE reporting).
4. Inspections & Audits
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, internal audits, and support external audits (DOSH, DOE, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001).
- Ensure timely implementation of corrective & preventive actions.
- Conduct and coordinate HSEQ training, safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and awareness programs.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure employees understand HSEQ requirements.
6. Others
- To perform any other duties assigned by immediate superiors.
Job Requirement
1. Qualification
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Experience (Years of experience)
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in HSEQ role.
3. Skills
- Good knowledge of DOSH, OSHA, FMA, EQA, and relevant regulations.
- Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, ERT management, and HSEQ documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with various departments.
- Possess own transport and able to work in Mak Mandin, Butterworth.
