Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to lead all housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring the highest cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a full‑time role based in Kuala Lumpur.

The role requires overseeing housekeeping processes, maintaining health and safety standards, and training staff to interact professionally with guests from all nationalities while collaborating with Engineering & other departments to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years experience as Executive Housekeeper in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry management, hygiene standards, and preventive maintenance systems.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and staff training capabilities.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of hospitality regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control systems.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Housekeeper to join our team at Sunway Putra Hotel Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for leading and managing all housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The Executive Housekeeper plays a key role in maintaining the hotel’s overall look and ensuring compliance with cleanliness, health, hygiene, and hospitality standards. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur.
What you'll be doing

To oversee the management of every area of the hotel housekeeping operation is meticulously cleaned and set as per company standards as well as gardens groomed and well kept as per the monitoring schedules.

Oversees the close co-operation with Engineering operations departments and managers.

Oversee the exhaustive Preventive Maintenance System and ensure that all qualitative and time related KPI’s are being met.

Oversees all laundry related operations.

To ensure all service protocols are trained in and implemented regarding guest valuables and property.

To ensure all staff are trained to interact promptly with guests in a professional manner (irrelevant of guest nationality).

To ensure all departmental training/subsequent matrices are implemented for every member of the Housekeeping staff.

To safeguard the property, it’s guests, staff and its assets at all times.

To ensure the highest possible servicing of guests and their facilities by all staff under housekeeping department and including Laundry in line with company policy and health and hygiene guidelines.

Establish systems which monitor the achievement of departmental goals.

Ensure compliance with business operations and hospitality laws.

Work with sales to manage the development of new products and services.

Develop quality management systems.

Manage the delivery of high quality service to guests.

To plan, direct, control and coordinate the activities of all personnel engaged in the housekeeping division to insure an efficient and profitable service.

To ensure high service standards in all areas of responsibility.

Ensures uniforms, linen and toweling and all relevant operating equipment is controlled and sufficient for hotel needs.

Schedules routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas by/with the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and other supervisory personnel.

Inspects guest and public areas on a regular basis to ensure that the furnishings, facilities, and equipment are clean and in good repair.

Manages and implements rotational cleaning and maintenance schedules.

What we're looking for

Minimum 7 years experience as Executive Housekeeper required in the hospitality industry.

Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, laundry management, hygiene standards, and preventive maintenance systems.

Excellent leadership, team management, and staff training capabilities.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Ability to maintain high service standards and ensure guest satisfaction.

Good communication and coordination skills with internal departments.

Ability to work under pressure and handle operational challenges effectively.

Knowledge of hospitality regulations, health and safety standards, and quality control systems.

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
