Job summary

Armstrong Auto Parts Sdn Bhd in Bangi, Selangor, is seeking a qualified Accountant to maintain full sets of accounts, including GL, AP, AR, Inventory and Fixed Assets. You will perform monthly and year-end closings to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with company requirements.

You will assist in management reports, budgets, financial statements, and various analyses while liaising with external auditors and tax agents for annual audits and submissions.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Experience liaising with auditors and tax agents is advantageous.
• Preferably 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts: GL, AP, AR, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.
• Perform monthly and year-end closings for timely, accurate reporting.
• Prepare management reports, budgets, financial statements, and analysis.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax agents for audits and submissions.
• Prepare quarterly reports to Corporate Office: Management, Sustainability, Related Party Transactions, and ad-hoc reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records per policies, standards, and statutory requirements.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy of records.
• Monitor accounting treatments, documentation, and internal controls.
• Support audit activities with schedules and documentation.
• Assist in group reporting, financial analysis, and process improvements.

Armstrong Auto Parts Sdn Bhd – Bangi, Selangor

Responsible for maintaining full sets of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Inventory, and Fixed Assets.

Perform monthly and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with company requirements.

Assist in the preparation of management reports, budgets, financial statements, and other financial analysis reports.

Liaise with external auditors and tax agents by providing necessary information and supporting documents for annual audits and tax submissions.

Prepare and submit quarterly reports to Corporate Office, including but not limited to:

• Quarterly Management Reports


• Sustainability Reports


• Related Party Transaction Reports


• Other ad-hoc reports as required

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

Monitor and ensure proper accounting treatment, documentation, and internal control compliance.

Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, reports, and required financial documentation.

Assist Senior Manager / Group Accountant in group reporting requirements, financial analysis, process improvements, and other ad-hoc assignments.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualification.


• Partial or full professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.


• Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a large-scale manufacturing environment.


• Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and statutory requirements.
