Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage the full accounts function, including monthly closings, reports, and analysis. You will liaise with auditors, bankers and authorities, review cost structures, and ensure IFRS-compliant management accounts.

The role requires a degree in accounting or a recognized professional qualification, 8+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency with computerized accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Holds a Degree in Accounting or a recognized professional accounting qualification.
• At least 8 years of experience in accounts and financial reporting.
• Familiar with computerized accounting systems and possess hands on working attitude.
• Matured personality, team player and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating full sets of the accounts function including reports and analysis.

Managing and coordinating full sets of the accounts function of the company including reports and analysis.

Key responsibilities

Responsible for handling monthly report and analysis

Liaison with auditors, bankers and other finance and regulatory authorities

Identify stock take discrepancies and prepare stock movement control sheet

Review on actual BOM cost on a quarterly basis

Ensure timely closing of the monthly accounts

Compute sales analysis, sales chart, gross profit chart, cash flow etc

Identify project costing for quarterly review

To ensure integrity and security of confidential data

Preparing monthly/quarterly/yearly management accounts in accordance to International Financial Reporting Standard which include general ledger and trial balance

Provide up-to-date and accurate financial information as and when required by the Management
