Job summary

Nippon Electric Glass (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is hiring for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to optimize operations across network, servers, cloud, and storage. You will manage IT security, backups, disaster recovery, and vendor coordination to ensure systems are reliable and compliant.

• Diploma or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from a recognize[d] institute.
• 5 to 8+ years in IT systems administration & application support role.
• Can work independently.
• Good communication skill in English and Bahasa.
• Can work in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and recommend improvements of IT Infrastructure (Network, Server, Cloud, Storage, Backup) to support current and future business needs.
• Maintain and manage servers, applications, network infrastructure, and IT security.
• Implement data backup and disaster recovery plans to protect critical business data.
• Manage firewall, antivirus, and security protocols to prevent cyber threats.
• Provide after-hours support according to work requirements and schedule.
• Prepare technical documentation, system manuals, and SOPs.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure projects are implemented per specification and timeline.

Job description

• Analyse and recommend improvements of the overall operations and efficiencies of IT Infrastructure (Network, Server, Cloud System, Storage, Backup etc.) to support current and meet future business requirements.
• Maintain and manage servers, applications, network infrastructure, and IT security.
• Implement data backup and disaster recovery plans to protect critical business data.
• Manage firewall, antivirus, and security protocols to prevent cyber threats.
• Maintain a proactive approach in attending to users’ requests, identify and troubleshoot problems, enquiries, provide advice and follow-through in meeting user needs and expectations within a stipulated time to ensure the smooth operation of the end user needs and system availability.
• Maintain the infrastructure health by performing daily monitoring, patch updates, configuration review and hardware replacement when is needed.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure projects, services and tasks are implemented as per specification and timely manner.
• Prepare technical documentation, system manuals, workflow processes, procedures and guidelines and update according to SOP.
• Ensure the completion of new IT project setup or configuration changes according to the maintenance schedule or recommended changes.
• To provide after-hours support according to work requirements and job schedule.
• To perform any other tasks or assignments as directed by the management from time to time.

Requirements:

Diploma or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from recognize institute.

5 to 8+ years in IT systems administration & application support role.

Can work independently
