Job summary

YOMI Kingdom in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Executive Driver & Bodyguard to provide safe transportation and close-protection for senior executives. The role requires excellent driving skills, situational awareness and strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in executive driving or security-related roles.
• Must hold a valid Malaysian driving licence with a clean record.
• Able to communicate in Chinese; English and Bahasa Malaysia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport designated executives to meetings, events, airports and other locations.
• Plan efficient routes and ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off.
• Apply defensive-driving practices and respond appropriately to traffic, weather and emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding executive schedules, contacts and company information.
• Provide close-protection support during meetings, events and private travel.
• Coordinate with hotels, venues and external security providers for arrangements.
• Keep the vehicle clean, serviced and ready for use; perform daily safety checks.

About the role

We are seeking a reliable, disciplined and security-conscious Executive Driver & Bodyguard to provide safe transportation and close-protection support to designated senior executives. This position requires excellent driving skills, strong situational awareness, mature judgement and strict confidentiality. The successful candidate must be prepared to work flexible hours, remain on standby and support assignments outside normal working hours when required.

Key responsibilities

Safely transport designated executives to meetings, events, airports and other locations.

Plan efficient routes and ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off.

Apply defensive-driving practices and respond appropriately to traffic, weather and emergency situations.

Conduct basic security and risk assessments before and during executive movements.

Provide appropriate close-protection support during meetings, public events, business engagements and private travel.

Coordinate transportation and security arrangements with company personnel, hotels, venues and external security providers.

Remain calm and take appropriate protective, evacuation or escalation measures during emergencies.

Ensure the assigned vehicle is clean, safe, serviced and ready for use.

Perform daily checks on tyres, fuel, brakes, lights and essential safety equipment.

Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding executive conversations, schedules, addresses, contacts and company information.

About you

Minimum three years of relevant experience as an executive driver, private driver, bodyguard, security professional, military or police officer, or in a related role.

Valid Malaysian driving licence with a good driving record.

Familiar with roads, airports, hotels, business districts and alternative routes across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

Healthy, alert and capable of responding appropriately during emergencies.

Strong discipline, punctuality, discretion and professional conduct.

Willing to undergo relevant background and driving-record checks.

Able to communicate in Chinese.

English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills are preferred.

Willing to work flexible hours, remain on standby and travel when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience providing close protection to senior executives, business owners or VIPs.

Military, police or professional security background.

Training or certification in defensive driving, first aid, security, close protection or martial arts.

Experience handling premium or high-end vehicles.

Good understanding of executive etiquette and professional service standards.
