Job summary

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa, part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, seeks an Executive Sous Chef to assist in the efficient operation of the kitchen in line with Hyatt's standards. This role emphasizes leadership, cost control, and culinary excellence within a luxury operation.

Minimum 2 years in a similar senior culinary role, with strong team leadership and knowledge of hygiene and safety. Malaysian nationals only, with continuous opportunities for development in a premium hospitality

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years work experience as Executive Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine in larger operation; preferably with experience in luxury international brand.
Strong leadership and team management skill with the ability to develop culinary professional.
Excellent organization and time management abilities.
Good practical, operational and adequate administrative skills with a flair for creativity.
Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards will be essential.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, suppliers and guest.
Basic Computer Skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is compulsory.

Responsibilities

Assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. Proficient in managing food cost, inventory and budgeting to achieving financial goals.
