Job summary

KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital is seeking a proactive Business Development professional to identify opportunities, build partnerships, and drive growth within the healthcare landscape. You will engage with potential clients, coordinate events, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver impactful campaigns and projects.

The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and project management skills, with experience in digital marketing and content creation preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Healthcare or related field.
• 2–3 years in business development, sales, marketing, or corporate relations.
• Experience in healthcare or hospital setting is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple campaigns/events and work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
• Explore new market segments and client engagement approaches Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Coordinate and manage events, including planning, execution, vendor coordination, and post-event evaluation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the smooth execution of business activities and projects.
• Assist in developing business proposals, presentations, marketing materials, and digital content.
• Support digital marketing activities, including social media content planning, campaign execution, and performance monitoring.
• Assist in video content development, including conceptualisation, basic filming, editing, and coordination of video production.
• Monitor market trends, digital engagement, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Digital Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, digital marketing, or corporate relations.
• Experience in the healthcare or hospital industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, campaigns, and events.
• Proactive, target-driven, creative, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, social media management, and content creation is preferred.
• Basic video production skills, including filming and video editing, will be an added advantage.
